- Senior Communications Specialist - Although a native of the Bay Area, Millie made a slight detour to North Carolina where she perfected her “y’all” in high school and college at Appalachian State University before returning to San Francisco in 2008. In college, Millie served as Associate Editor for Editorial Content at The Appalachian student newspaper, and received degrees in journalism and public relations. She also completed summer internships in the music industry and marketing.
Today, she serves as a Senior Communications Specialist with D&A Communications – managing contracts with clients including San Francisco SAFE, the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department and the Transportation Authority of Marin. She offers her keen editing eye and writing skills to the team, as well as her enthusiastic, yet mediocre, graphic design abilities. When not at work, she can be found eating avocados, promoting health care reform and supporting the Golden State Warriors!
