Many expressed their confusion about filling out the FAFSA form. Some were not sure how to access information about scholarships as they were involved in extra cirricular activities such as sports and visual arts. There were so many perks to attending The Black College Expo. In addition to getting the opportunity to talk to college admissions representatives face to face, getting accepted to colleges on the spot, and obtaining information about icanaffordcollege.com, students also enjoyed a step show sponsored by McDonalds, took part in a dance competition, and enjoyed live performances from young local bay area artists. The biggest perk of all had to be the fact that these activities were hosted by Kel Mitchell of Nickelodeons “All That” and the “Keenan and Kel Show.” Kel was as sweet as can be and even took time to stop by our booth.
